My Points is another website where you can earn points by doing surveys, playings games, filling out demographic information and shopping (if you feel like it). Shopping will earn you differing points per dollar depending on where you purchase. Note you do not have to purchase anything, but you can definitely do it that way if you want. There are plenty of  fun and exciting ways to earn points for free. You can search the web, book travel, print coupons, and even read emails for points. These points can then be used for travel miles, gift cards, and donations. Referring friends is another great way to earn points for free. You earn 25 points for every friend that signs up and additional points based on what they choose to do on the site. There are no limits on how many people you invite nor on how many points you can earn. Instant win games are another fun way to get free stuff. Sometimes you will get a small item just for playing at all or possibly a coupon. The best way to play these are by prioritizing those games with the most prizes to give away. This will give you the best possible chance of winning something without becoming overwhelmed. If you don't have time to play all of the games in a list every day it can be helpful to choose a select few that you can play everyday. Start with the highest amount of winning and work down until you have the size of list you want. Check often to make sure you have not missed new ones. Vocal Point is another place to gather and talk about products whether its reviews or just chatting to others that love free things and reviewing stuff. The reviews are actually read by the companies that provide the samples and they do take your feedback into consideration for future products or changes to current ones. They also do not must constructive criticism so really let them have it, if thats you kind of thing.
This site also sponsors other activites like DIY projects, hosting parties, family tips, money saving ideas etc. Its more of a community than just a free sample blog. After signing up you will be able to see the goodies tab and this is where you will find samples to try and review or to get coupons for. Of course you can't get a sample of everything but I have tried a few things here and I think the more that you review and are active in the community the more you can receive the samples. The site will allow you to invite friends but it does not seem like that has any effect on how many or which samples you will receive. You can sign up for this offer at the link below.

Smiley360

Smiley 360 is a lovely website where you can review items, share about them on social media, share coupons with friends and family and connect with others that have similar interests. After signing up you will be presented with a few 'missions' which are basically samples that companies will send you if you qualify for them. After qualifying you accept the mission and wait to receive the sample. I have so far recieved: Tom's of Maine toothpaste, Campbells Soup with a snazzy pair of socks, Advil Cold and Congestion, Bic 4 color pen, and will shortly receive some Seventh Generation products.

So it is well worth the time and effort put into the site. After receiving the sample there a sections of the mission that you will want to complete. These are reviewing the item, discussing with friends and family, distributing coupons, sharing on facebook and/or twitter. There are also online chats about the products that are optional. All of these missions will give you a certain amount of points. After these accumulate you will be invited to review more and better items. Note I am not that good at getting all of the points and I have never achieved full points for any mission, but I try and that seems to be enough to keep reviewing stuff.

Other Reward Programs

Here are some recommended sites that will earn you some points that you can spend on free stuff. First is the Disney points program. http://www.disneymovierewards.go.com/ is the address where this can be found. To earn points for free all you have to do is sign up for the monthly emails and click on the rewards button each month. This is slow going but sometimes there are holiday bonuses. With these points you can purchase Disney items like movies, stickers, and art. Points can be earned with codes from movies that have been purchased however, that is not a requirement to use the program. So have at it and get as many statues of Mickey as your shelf can hold.

Another program is Recycle Bank found at https://rcycle.it/yvnjy  This site allows you to earn points by pledging to recycle certain items, by taking short questionnaires, watching videos, and playing games, referring friends, and by making green purchases. No purchase is necessary to enroll. With these points you can earn discounts, magazines, and gift cards. You can earn these points fairly quickly at first but it takes quite a few points to get anything worth while.Sampling is not always the greenest of things so hopefully this will erase some bad recycling karma. Trust me, the environment will thank you

Pampers gifts to grow found @ www.sharegiftstogrow.com will give you 100 points to sign up. I believe there is also an email list and you can find other points by searching them out or by purchasing Pampers products. No purchase is necessary to enroll. With these points I think you can get stuff for your baby,  toddler, or super coddled dog. Just kidding they don't make dog diapers yet and I feel  like they might be missing out on a lucrative niche market there. I have not personally used this site but I thought it would be nice to include it at least in a general sort of way.
 

Points 2 Shop

Points2Shop is another great survey site where you can earn actual money or points depending on preference. Upon signing up you receive a 250 point bonus upon completing your first survey. That equates to two dollars and fifty cents and its the easiest money you will ever make. Points2Shop will give you points for surveys, videos, shopping, trials, games, sweepstakes, and for referring friends. One of the great things about this website is that they are partnered with Amazon so you can use your points to directly buy things from Amazon instead of trading for gift cards. They also recognize the hard work you put into surveys and the more than you do the higher level you achieve and then better and better surveys are offered to you. Which means the harder you work, the more points you can earn for each survey. As for all surveys, realize that you will not be accepted into every survey. There are screenings and you have to qualify before you can complete this is because companies are looking for different demographics. Recognize that this is not personal and just continue trying for other offers. One other benefit is that this site will allow you to start donating points to others if you chose to do so after you reach Gold. I used this site enough last Holiday season so that I had enough to points to purchase all of the presents I gave to my Partner. I have bought everything from bear paw slippers to an Aquaman Mighty Wallets with P2P so really there is almost nothing that you can't find with enough points and creativity.

Swag Bucks

Swag Bucks is a website that gives you points in exchange for completing surveys. Here is how it works: You sign in and receive points when you complete a survey, watch a video, play a game, use the search bar function, shop, find swag codes, vote, trade in items, send in prize photos and videos, special offers, and invite friends. This site is able to provide points because companies pay them to offer these services so that they can gain insight into consumer opinions. Surveys are the fastest method that I found to gain points for free. The shopping and trade ins are obviously not entirely free and so I did not personally use those options. I do however, use the search function to gain points. This process is slow but since I am searching things anyway it doesn't hurt anything. Games and videos also do not give as many points as surveys neither do the swag codes or voting. After signing up and earning a few points you can either use them on their reward items or on gift cards. My favorite thing to get is an amazon card. The five dollar card is the best deal and those can add up over time, sometimes they even give music credits with those as well. I think I have ended up with over 40 bucks in amazon credit so far and that means lots of presents for the Sample Overlord aka my dog Gremlin.

A Hello and Introduction Course for Free Stuff Hunting 101 Or How to Romance Your Mailbox Into Giving You Lots of Things

This is a no nonsense blog about how to get free samples and other free items, goods, or services. Everything on this site will be 100 percent free and no obligation to sign up for those annoying spam filled emails that other free sites impose on us Free Stuff addicts. OK, so whats the catch? Well, you won't find any here. I will never ask for personal information. What I will do is show you how to find free samples, take surveys in exchange for money or gift cards, and give general advice on how to fill your mailbox with awesomely free stuff.

Since basically all of these samples will require an email address it is a good idea to make a new 'junk' email address for you to use for these offers. This will keep your real email clear of junk and make it easier to find your important mail and keep the trash where it belongs. I like to use Gmail and Yahoo for these addresses but obviously any account will just fine for this purpose. Also remember that these samples will be coming to you by snail mail and are promotions that are often sent in bulk. This means that most of the samples will arrive sometime between 4-8 weeks and I have even seen longer than that. But eventually you will start accumulating things in your mail box basically every single day. 

So, How do I find all of these things? Where do I start? Its simple really I promise. Since you have obviously found this blog you have already mastered the use of a search engine. That will be the basis from which we work on finding freebies. As you may well know, its easy to search and find free sample sites. Not all of these sites are created equally and some are simply scams in order to obtain information. This is why I have taken it upon myself to create a free stuff blog that follows a few easy guidelines: No personal information required, No links to suspicious sites, and No links to freebies which ask for credit cards. If you are looking at other sample sites and come across questionable samples make sure that your virus protection is up to date and having a pop up filter is also a good idea. Avg is an example of a good free anti virus program.

 On to the good stuff.

 Free samples are quick and easy to obtain if you know where to look for them. Companies want you to try their goods in the hopes that you will buy more and tell your friends about it. While these samples are abundant there are many, many people that sign up for them and you must get to then quickly before they expire. I will be posting as many free sample as I can find in the next few days and promise not to post any that are already expired. Other options in finding these samples are searching for a few key terms such as "free samples" "free stuff" "free things" and "freebies" It sounds like that might be obvious but I know more than a few people that are missing out by not changing up their search routine. You would be surprised on how many websites, and good ones, that you miss by only searching "free samples".  Remember to avoid websites that ask for personal information before showing you their sample lists. It is OK to sign up for email reminders if that is your thing, But never give out your credit card information to these sites under ANY circumstances.
This is A LOT of information so to mix it up a bit here is a kitten!

Surveys are another great way of getting either monetary compensation, gift cards, or even points that allow you to buy items. Again be careful of suspicious sounding websites, never give credit card info to them, and never give out your email passwords. Many of these websites are fake, but there are some truly great ones that I have personally tried and will dedicate separate posts about them. Also realize that while racking up points in the beginning is fast and easy, it does slow down a little bit. Changing sites every now and again and resting the others will let surveys to accumulate and let you start back up again in a few weeks.

Now you may be asking, Are these the only ways to find free stuff? By no means are these the only ways to find great samples and stuff for free. Other ways I have found awesome stuff is by checking company websites for samples, searching for specific sample items in Google, and by playing instant win games. Instant win games offer no guarantee of winning but by playing the games with the most prizes to give everyday you stand a good chance of winning some pretty awesome stuff and it only takes at most fifteen minutes per day for me to accomplish this.

Here are some ways to get items on the cheap. Craigslist is a great place to find things you want for good prices but they also have a free section where you can go pick things up for free! Another website for finding free things from people rather than companies is Freecycle.com. Other ways to get free stuff is to earn credits with stores in order to purchase new items. For example you can trade in books, devices, games, and many other things to places online and well as in store which can help you afford that great new item that you have been wanting for months. I personally like to sell back to used book stores and to Hastings for credits. Make sure to read their policies first as not all items will be accepted or worth as much as you might think.

Another, well, lets say more 'hands' on way to obtain free stuff is to dumpster dive. Now I am not endorsing this practice just providing information on it. This is the practice of checking dumpters inside, or mostly outside for stuff that is unwanted. It a lot of places this is illegal, but in some places it is actually allowed. I live in a college town and there are tons of apartment complexes. At turnover there is a smorgasbord of free stuff laying around and the complexes allow people to take things because they don't want to have to pay extra to haul it off. So if it is legal in your area, and you are feeling adventurous, by all means get acquainted with the local trash bins.

So why are there more freebies on other sites? Possibly because I have slept in, or more than likely those "samples" are actually coupons, rebates, sites that might have viruses, sites that require a purchase or a really long survey before giving out samples, etc. I don't sign up for those and I wouldn't want to encourage you to either so I simply try to not put those on here. I mean yes the occasional coupon is good as long as its for an entirely free item and I will post some of those. However, extreme couponing is an entirely different sort of obsessive compulsiveness that I have not quite mastered yet, so we will leave that to the pros.
