Once you sign up and log in you will see offers targeted in places close to you. For me these places include three states: Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. So the 'local' bit may be a bit of a stretch. With Groupon you can get discounts on restaurants, shopping, vacations, events, and more. Its also great to find out about events and places that you may not have known about or considered going to before. For example my local Groupon offers includes a great deal on a rafting trip right now that is almost 50 percent off and makes it super affordable. Groupon can also get you great deals for traveling across the country or abroad. You can get really cheap flights and hotel bundles that will make flying abroad a possibility to almost everyone, including us monetarily challenged folks. I have also seen offers of jet boat tours, bowling, portraits, hotels, car maintenance, fitness places, music lessons, wine tastings, and more exotic trips to Alaska, the Oregon coast, China, Iceland, Budepest, and a guided tour of the Amazon rainforest. It really depends on the day for what offer they may have and they change all of the time. So next time you are planning a vacation definitely check for hotel, restaurant, travel, and shopping deals to save you some money, or check it out and plan your vacation around a Groupon deal.
