Top Ten Things You Should Be Doing To Get Free Stuff

1. Vary your search terms, do not rely on using the same search over and over.. Instead of using  "free sample" every time try using terms like free stuff, free things, freebies, free to try, free trial, free junk, and free crap. This will greatly increase your chances of finding new and awesome free stuff.

2. Don't just check the Craigslist free section. You need to be checking Free Cycle, the Penny Savers and other local listings for free items.

3. Try asking around your neighborhood, ask family, and ask friends. You might be surprised how grateful people are when you help them declutter their space. They might give you even more free stuff.

4.  Use Listia to list items that you no longer want or need and then use the points you receive to bid on new items that you will actually use. It is essentially trading unwanted items for free. Its time to clean out the garage and become a points millionaire.

5. Do surveys, really I know you are skeptical, they actually work. Sites like Points2shop and Swagbucks will give you points to do surveys, watch videos, and play games. Use those points to buy stuff, easiest way to get great stuff entirely free.

6. Dumpster dive if its legal in your area. Yes its kind of gross just don't actually go inside of it. Plenty of cool stuff can be found around the outsides especially during turnover for large apartment complexes.

7. Check the websites of large companies for promotional giveaways. For example tobacco and beverage companies have giveaways almost continuously. Other companies will give away their own full sized products in limited quantities and at certain times. Be on the look out for full size make up, candy bars, cleaning products, food items, clothing, and much more.

8. Pay attention to coupons online, in mailings, and at the store. Often times the value of these coupons are equal or greater to the price of the item and you can get it for free.

9. Offer your skills or services in exchange for goods; its bartering and people have been doing it for thousands of years and you can do it too. Whether your skill is woodworking, web design, or cryptozoology chances are good that someone will trade for your services.

10. Ditch the dish, or cable television. You can get all of the free TV from Hulu and from individual broadcast networks that you can ever, really, sanely watch in a week. Same goes for music, use Spotify and Pandora to get free streaming music.

Now get out there are start getting all the free stuff you never knew you were missing.
